During a spontaneous trip to Brussels in the spring of 2021, the Atomium quickly caught my attention. What is, at first glance, a familiar landmark became through my lens a study of lines, shapes and details.

For this series, I deliberately focused on close-ups and architectural compositions, aiming to capture the Atomium from a different perspective than the typical wide shot. The combination of steel, geometry and spring light gives these images a timeless character.

These photographs came from a simple moment: spending a day out with a friend, without a set plan, but with a camera in hand and the intention of creating something beautiful. Sometimes, it is those spontaneous moments that result in the images that stay with you.
